Anatomy Drawing Book

° The approach, highly organized, is to identify all the anatomical elements that contribute to fair and realistic rendering of your draft. ° due to some simple principles to remember, you learn to locate compared to the model, to establish a global form, and then to ask the most important graphic accents: angles, curves, volumes, joints . . This training manual sketching live models designed especially for beginners. I try to highlight the graphic accents that seem most important to include a human body. There will be question of muscles and bones of course, but also tendons, fat and skin folds, for all have a role to play in this representation. By analyzing selected drawings, each chapter illustrates a principle to remember, or when one or more indications to be considered. The key is based on observables, and little information requiring advanced knowledge of anatomy. Indeed, in this book I put forward voluntarily certain information about anatomy and I've left other side that would certainly deserve to be mentioned. With a limited number of pages to treat a vast subject, I did not attached to draw-cons examples. I mostly avoided the descriptive representations of the skeleton. It seemed more useful to devote most external forms by taking the risk of being a bit simplistic. Therefore bone structure appears as dots and paths to have highly simplified. I kept about the actual nomenclature of the muscles and bones but especially try to remember directions. These proposals are united with personal convictions and not a mandatory way, I regularly see great drawings done in many different ways, sometimes based solely on instinct and feeling, without method or special knowledge. However, from experience, I find that organized approach, more thoughtful and less compulsive offers greater regularity result. The majority of the drawings presented were first made in a situation, during class or with students in similar conditions and, for the most reworked to illustrate the point. Their style is not of interest in itself. They serve to highlight the tools necessary for a representation of the body. In other words, there is no intention in this process of art, it is more of a toolbox than a catalog of art drawings. Basically, it's sketch executed in one to twenty-five minutes on A4. The designs have been built with colored pencils but also felt, none has been reworked on graphics tablet. Learning about different painting techniques related to tools such as development for example, does not fit into the scope of this book, nevertheless, the information contained therein may serve as a pictorial approach more relevant and personal. Finally, I want to justify the very low percentage of drawings of faces varied. I found doing that models such as Africa and Asia are hardly represented in my work and it is not a willingness on my part. As I already mentioned, the designs presented have largely been made in the course and within that, unfortunately, there were very few proposals for such models. . .
